Student Scholarships
The Project Forward Leap (PFL) scholarship partners program was established to ensure students who have completed seven years of PFL programming have better access to college.
The PFL scholarship partners program network was established to allow students access to a wide range of full and partial scholarship opportunities. PFL will not fund these scholarships directly but will match students with scholarships being offered through our partnership sources.
Beginning in fall 2010, the scholarship partners program will expose every enrolled PFL high school student to a wide variety of scholarships that fill the gap between the cost to attend college and the family contribution.
Eligibility Requirements
PFL high school students are expected to be academic achievers, positive leaders among their peers, and demonstrate continuous personal growth. In order to remain eligible to participate in the scholarship program, PFL students must also satisfy the following requirements.

Scholarship Program Process
Step 1: Pre College Meeting - By the Fall of the students 11th grade they meet with a regional director who will provide academic, extracurricular and college guidance to students and to aid parents and teachers in the evaluation of a student’s scholastic progress and potential. In conjunction with other staff members, the director will help to design and implement plans conducive to meeting a student’s educational and career development goals.
Step 2: Matching Process – Based on the information obtained list of scholarships will be made available to the student and parent.
Step 3: Continuing support – Each student will receive any academic and resource support needed to remain eligible for scholarships through PFL referrals or direct services.
